Grupo Terapéutico (ATC): A03AE. TRACTO ALIMENTARIO Y METABOLISMO. Fármacos para alteraciones funcionales intestinales: serotoninérgicos.

Indicaciones autorizadas: Tratamiento sintomático del estreñimiento crónico en mujeres en las cuales los laxantes no proporcionan un alivio inmediato.

Valoración global: INNOVACIÓN MODERADA. Aporta algunas mejoras, pero no implica cambios sustanciales en la terapéutica estándar.

Novedad clínica: Mejora la efcacia clínica del tratamiento farmacológico estándar, con posibilidad de asociar con otros tratamientos actualmente en vigor. Útil en cuadros refractarios a los tratamientos actuales y con efectos sobre la calidad de vida de los pacientes.
